This is the second 2009 BMW 750i wheel that I had during my short test drive. The first 18-inch alloy rim suffered a hairline crack, which kept the run-flat tire from holding air. A quick trip to the tire shop and a replacement tire and rim from the press fleet had everything back to perfect. The tire-pressure monitoring system gave notice of a problem with the front left tire through the screen in the console and on the dash under the gas gauge, giving plenty of time to fix the problem before the tire became too squishy to drive on.
