Challenge Rally

Registration is open--and limited--in the San Diego Automotive Museum Challenge Rally SoCal 2009, to be held May 17-19. The exotic car and vintage rally will start in San Diego and finish in the Los Angeles area, with overnight stops in La Quinta and Riverside along the way. Any exotic of any year (think Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, etc.) and its people is welcome to take part.

Participants will drive scenic byways like "Rim of the World" and "Palms to the Pines," which wind through the mountains of Southern California. It is a rally, so a navigator is required, but organizers say the route is not too challenging. There will be events such as time trials at private venues along the route, for owners who want to put their machines to the test.

Standard registration for Rally SoCal is $4,845 and includes luxury accommodations, gourmet meals, staff, technical crew, luggage transportation, and more. Early registration can get you a better deal; late registration means you'll pay extra for the privilege.
