While it's nowhere near the record-setting $11 million brought by a vintage racer, the last 2010 Ferrari F430 to be built was successfully auctioned off for just over $250,000 on May 17.
Ferrari put the car on the auction block to benefit the victims of the earthquake that rocked Italy in early April. The special-edition car, outfitted in the colors of Aquila, the city that was hit hardest, did have a reserve to be met at auction, but no commission was charged by RM Auctions. The official final price for the F430, which will be delivered late in 2009, was 180,000 euros.
